Oceane - Austria
Travelling to Austria with Lions has been one of my most amazing experiences yet, not only for the incredible things we've seen and done but also for the deep connections that were made throughout the three weeks.
The first week was spent in a host family where I got so lucky and had the most lovely and enthusiastic hosts. The same family also hosted my now good friend Isabella from Brazil and we had the opportunity to spend the weekend in Vienna before heading to their hometown of Sankt Veit which was beautiful.
I will always remember The final two weeks at the Lakes and Mountains camp in Salzburg. We did and saw so many different things from hiking to sailing, exploring places from the sound of music to incredible ice caves in the mountains and the list goes on. However, it's the people who bring this trip to life. I never knew that such deep bonds could be made in only 21 days but I now have friends from Brazil and Romania to Turkey and India which I have no doubt will last a lifetime. My host family also hope to make plans to come to the UK soon which will be a lot of fun.
I really couldn't recommend this experience enough if you are looking to discover a country and meet like minded people who want to share and celebrate their cultures. I'd like to thank everyone on the Lions team both at home and in Austria for this opportunity, I am so grateful!
