All the countries holding up the earth, show that we work in unity and are better in togetherness. With the sun rising above, the boats and the dove show the journey of peace that so many people make to stay safe and make a better life.

Hadrian's poster was placed 1st at Burgate School

Hadrian's poster was also placed 1st in the Lions District Peace Poster Competition and now goes forward to the National Finals.

Peace to me means freedom and kindness. A journey of peace is so important right now; it is all around the world and everyone is involved – we are all in a journey towards peace together.  On my design, I chose to put a dove flying in the sky because it is a symbol of peace.  I also put a road going through the middle to show a journey.

For the Peace Poster, I have chosen to draw a dove surrounding the earth.  I wanted to show that the dove is the centre, representing our core values of peace, and the earth is embedded in it to show that peace is within all of us.  I wanted the dove to be comforting the earth as if it were caring for it.  I chose the sunset colours because it’s like the earth is setting and the dove is comforting it.

Peace to me means calm; if everything is calm, the world will be so much better.  I decided to draw a dove on the world because a dove is the most recognisable peace symbol. As it is in front of the world, it means peace all around the world, covering it and protecting it. My message is that we need to make the world a better place, with people living in harmony and peace.

My poster represents peace because it shows different people with different skin colours, from different countries all across the world, marching together. All of them are asking for peace, working together for no war, and no violence. The coloured doves flying high in the sky are a worldwide symbol of peace. It looks as if they have been set free, celebrating peace in freedom.

Peace to mean a place of calm, with no war or violence.  I showed this in my poster as on one side I have war, and on the other, the symbols of peace with a dove and a big olive tree branch, showing the flight along the rainbow road. The road represents the journey, plus a peace symbol with flags inside shows that no matter the country we’re from, we all have peace journeys to make.
